day old maggoty fish

these are from one of the markets in mapusa, goa. i stumbled on to this one while i was riding around on the scooter. there weren't very many westerners at this market. this was more like an indian supermarket where everyone goes for all of there produce and fish. it was a very nice change from the normal tourist market.
the fish however packed the biggest punch. i started to walk down the fish section to take some pictures and was greeted with the foul odor of rotten fish. there were flies completely covering most of the fish. it was so strong that i instantly gagged. by the time i got away from the fish i was puking. not the best thing to have happen at the market. i'm gonna go back this week and take pictures earlier in the day so hopefully the smell won't be so strong.
